Your employer: Tech company will build flagship product from scratch
This little powerhouse has remained under the radar for the past few decades, but when you see who their customers are, it's very noteworthy. In recent years, a product suite has been developed here that enables listed companies to automate their most critical projects and has therefore become indispensable. By immediately setting up a high-quality product, the past few years have mainly been dominated by building a very stable customer portfolio and the organization has been profitable for more than 10 years. The sale of a sister company has freed up many millions to invest in the technology and tap into new markets. This products company is about to embark on a very exciting and fun phase of the business. The current product will be maintained by a team, but a whole new team will be set up to build the new product from scratch. Literally not a line of the old code will be used. The systems need to scale more and become more user-friendly and accessible to get new customers on the platform faster. You will work in a close-knit company with a no-nonsense culture with high ambitions. You get a lot of freedom here and your choice is very important, in fact you will play an important role in the future of this hitherto very successful product.

Your role: Senior Java Developer Rotterdam
In your role as Senior Java Developer Rotterdam you will build a successful product completely from scratch according to the insights of the current modern software engineering options. Together with the tech you will be responsible for the architecture, prototyping and development of the first version of the product. If more manpower is needed to work out the ideas, the team will be steadily expanded. You will therefore work closely with the tech lead and head of product on a daily basis to make this a success. You don't often come across an opportunity like this.

What is being asked?

• From about 5 years of experience in software development
• Experience with design and architecture is a plus
• Experience with setting up software from scratch is a plus
• Experience with a Cloud and/or Microservices environment is a plus
• Experience working in a modern Java/Spring Boot environment
• Experience with container tools such as Docker is a plus
• Experience with Cloud such as AWS, GCP, Azure or Private Cloud is a plus
• Experience with Clean Coding, Testing, CI/CD is a plus
• Solid knowledge of design patterns and data structures is a plus
• Experience with SaaS and/or Multi-tenant systems is a plus
