Your role: Senior Software Engineer Cloud Utrecht
As a Senior Software Engineer Cloud Utrecht, you will join a fast-growing organization that is part of a group of top-notch , Java, Scala, Big Data, and Front-end Software Engineers. These different groups are united under separate organizations, each with its own discipline. However, they collaborate closely to extract added value from diverse areas of expertise and provide even greater value to clients. In your role as a Senior Software Engineer Cloud Utrecht, you will advise your clients on what constitutes a robust Cloud architecture and help them set it up. You will also assist them in developing their software in the Cloud. Consequently, you are well-versed in the tools provided by AWS or GCP for this purpose. You provide guidance on cost aspects, allowing budgets to be utilized more effectively, and enabling the development of useful features instead of unnecessarily high hosting or licensing costs. In this way, you are strategically involved in decision-making. The projects and technical challenges are enormous. Here are some examples of projects you can work on:

• One of the largest ports in Europe is developing all its services in the Cloud. You can contribute to the architecture and construction of this project.
• Building a healthcare platform for several African countries, providing better access to healthcare for the local population. It will be a 100% Cloud solution.
• One of the largest Dutch retailers is migrating entirely to AWS, and all new services will be developed on this platform.

What is required?

• Minimum of 4 years of professional Software Development
• Experience with modern languages such as JS/Typescript.
• Experience with AWS and/or GCP.
• Experience with other modern backend languages such as Golang, Java, Scala, or Python is a plus.
• Completed HBO or WO education.
• Experience working in Agile and DevOps
• Experience with a microservices architecture is a plus.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes is a plus.
• Experience in setting up a continuous integration and delivery pipeline is a plus.
• Experience with tools like EC2, S3, Lambda, DynamoDB, Elastic Beanstalk, IAM, and Redshift is a plus.
• Experience with tools like Compute & Kubernetes Engine, Dataflow, BigQuery, Datastore, and Big Table is a plus.
• Experience with HashiCorp products like Terraform is a plus.

What is offered?

• Immediate permanent contract.
• Base salary between €60,000 and €85,000 based on knowledge and experience.
• + Mobility allowance worth €8,400 per year.
• + Bonus scheme of up to 2 monthly salaries.
• = Salary package of €100,000+ and the possibility for further growth.
