Your role: Senior AWS Cloud Engineer Rotterdam
As Senior AWS Cloud Engineer Rotterdam, you are going to drive innovation! They are in the process of completely modernising their current AWS infrastructure. In this process, you are going to automate everything that you can. Right now is the time to set up IaC. That means that you are in the unique position to have a humongous impact on their road to build a fully automated cloud-native AWS platform. In your role, you are building solid CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps, and GitHub Actions and will set up monitoring and increase the observability of their New-platform. Within the role as Senior AWS Cloud Engineer Rotterdam you learn how their services can be migrated to Kubernetes, within the AWS Elastic Kubernetes Services. Another project that you will be involved in is the transformation from a monolithic application towards Microservices. In this process, you have the possibility to work together with your colleagues to rearchitect the current application landscape and build the underlying AWS infrastructure to get the job done! During the modernization closely with your Software engineering colleagues and help them to understand the usage of the cloud platform that you’re building. In the process, you’ll positively impact development teams by giving workshops to enable them to use the new cloud platform to the fullest and improve the current DevOps culture! In the process of modernising, you can have a key role in keeping the current infrastructure up and running where you are already working work with AWS VPC, S3, EC2, and RDS and make sure that the application is scaling up and down properly. Together with your colleagues, you are going to build a solid Cloud-infrastructure.

Growth opportunities:
As you will be working together with an experienced Cloud-architect, there are a lot of opportunities to grow vertically. He will involve you in key decisions regarding cloud-architecture, and the introduction of new tooling. Additionally, as the infrastructure team is growing, you have the possibility to grow toward a lead Cloud engineer.

Requirements:

• 5+ years experience as a CloudEngineer, with 2 years working within AWS
• Professional experience with Terraform/Cloudformation
• Experience with Azure DevOps for CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with Linux/Powershell and/or Python
• Experience with working with Windows Servers in public cloud environments
• Good understanding of Docker and Kubernetes
• Good understanding of Security, Networking, and monitoring in public cloud environments
• Strong Communication skills in English
• Experience working with Software Engineers is a Plus
• Understanding SQL is a plus
• Experience in C#.NET is a plus
