Your main focus will be to develop new functionality on top of Factry Historian and other Factry products, especially related to UI/UX.

De vacature

We are looking for you to join our motivated team of engineers. Your main focus will be to develop new functionality on top of Factry Historian and other Factry products, especially related to UI/UX. You will:

• Contribute to the design and implementation of core product features using the Svelte JS framework on the frontend, and Go in the backend.
• Improve the UI of our product, focussing on the UX experience for our end-users.
• Perform code reviews and give more complete & valuable feedback on merge requests to colleagues, based on Coding Guidelines of Factry.
• Participate in expanding the Factry Coding Guidelines, specifically (but not exclusively) aimed at guidelines regarding UI/UX.
• Critically perform QA testing of User Stories during the development cycle, from the perspective of the end-user, using its acceptance criteria as a main guideline.
• Troubleshooting and debugging code to resolve daily issues and improve performance.
• Actively collaborate in code refactoring to improve the software experience, maintainability and performance.

Hier gaan we vanuit

• Making beautiful and intuitive frontends is your thing. You have experience with UI/UX, know your way around CSS, and you can provide the necessary backend logic and write an SQL query.
• You have a masters degree in Engineering and/or Computer Science or equivalent, and 3+ years of relevant experience. Experience with Industrial IT is a plus.
• You are fluent with javascript and at least one frontend application framework, and are eager to expand your knowledge with modern programming languages and frameworks, such as Go(lang) and Svelte.
• Experience with AWS or Azure managed services is a plus.
• You can understand the perspective of the client who needs to use the product.
• You have a pragmatic and entrepreneurial mindset, thinking beyond today’s needs.
• You take ownership and are proud of your work. We value people who keep raising the bar for themselves and those around them.
• You feel comfortable in a fast-paced working environment.
• You have good communication skills and are an active listener
• You’re proficient in English and preferably also in Dutch. Knowledge of any other language is an advantage.
