Functional Test Engineer – Engine System Integration - DAF Trucks N.V Eindhoven

As Functional Test Engineer within the System Integration team, you are responsible for the preparation, execution, analysis and reporting of functional engine test activities over various engine development projects. You also collaborate with specialists within project teams, where you give your expert opinion and help in risk identification and reduction.

Your responsibilities and goals:

• Prepare, execute and analyze functional tests or investigations on engine sub-systems / components and their controls.
• Coordinate test set-up and test execution
• Evaluate and report test results
• Focus on engine mechanics and mechatronics
• Maintain existing Engine Test Standards under your responsibility
• Develop new test procedures for engine components and engine systems and their controls
• Active contribution to improve test efficiency and test quality
• Collaboration in project teams

Daily activities are in close cooperation with the members of the System Integration team, Line Lead Engineers of other teams within Global Engine Integration and Performance Lead Engineers of the department. Furthermore you will be working with the Global Engine Engineering department and Engine Verification department in both The Netherlands and North America. In this role, you report directly to the Engineering Supervisor System Integration, and also align on daily basis with other Line- and Project Managers.
