We are looking for one for the HC-CS/XCT1 department: Control Software Engineer (32-40 uur)
The function
From the ADT team you are responsible for the functional behavior of the boiler. The control units are used in the development of new appliances at the various locations of our clinet. In your role as a Control Software Engineer, you think about new functions that contribute to comfort and efficiency improvements of heating appliances for homes and buildings.
You are also responsible for the implementation and testing of the required functions and algorithms in software (as much as possible via the automatic test environment) and you provide the associated documentation. You take into account the modification of the software by internal customers using parameters, so that it can be adapted to the wishes and characteristics of a specific boiler version.

We ask
- BSc or MSc in Electrical Engineering (EE), Software Engineering or Computer Science (CS) or related study with at least 2 years of relevant work experience or comparable level;
- Experience with implementing functions in C/C++ and algorithm development;
- Experience with C++, Python and Simulink is a must;
- Knowledge of the latest techniques and methods for software development;
- Practical knowledge of detecting errors in software;
- Analytically strong, proactive, dynamic attitude and hands-on mentality;
- Experience with Agile development is an advantage;
- Good communication skills, both oral and written, in the English language.
- You are able to see the big picture and thus separate main from secondary issues and you enjoy working together in a team. You have the Agile mind set (making mistakes and learning from them, delivering value for the customer is central, self-organizing and transparent). You take responsibility for your decisions and actions and you resolve conflicts constructively. Finally, you have good persuasion and communication skills, both oral and written.

The DepartmentThe HC-CS/XCT1 department is responsible for developing control units for, among other things, central heating boilers and for connectivity products of our client.Several SAFe trains have been set up within the department with multidisciplinary teams, which are responsible for Hardware (mechanical and electrical) and Software (control application, mobile app and embedded) development.The Application Development Team (ADT) is responsible for designing the control software for the control units and implementing it. Consider, for example, developing functions and algorithms to ensure that boiler applications function optimally. This vacancy falls within 1 of the ADT teams.
