Your role: Senior Scala Developer Amsterdam
As Senior Scala Developer Amsterdam you will get to get to help mature their innovative real time streaming and AI powered product suite. Currently built with Scala, Akka-Streams, GCP, MongoDB, Kafka and Kubernetes. With an real time and event driven architecture. As over one hundred clients and tens of thousands of users are already working on the product you get very direct feedback on your work! As the team is still small you will have a lot of impact and can help to evolve the product and stack further. So next to Scala you could look forward to working with TS/NodeJS and/or Golang in the future. If you like to have lots of freedom, autonomy, impact and being able to really build an amazing tech company from the ground up and be rewarded with company stock, this is for you!

What is required?

• 5+ years of professional development experience
• Professional experience with Java or Scala AND stream processing
• A solid understanding of functional programming concepts
• Experience working within data driven companies is a big plus
• Experience with Akka (streams and/or HTTP) is a plus
• Experience with Kafka, NoSQL or ElasticSearch is a plus
• Experience with deploying to Kubernetes and running your own code in production is a big plus
