Do you want to contribute to the future of European space infrastructure? As a Product Owner within CGI’s Space unit, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering solutions for some of Europe’s flagship programs, including Galileo, the global satellite navigation system.

Your leadership will ensure that the product vision is translated into a clear roadmap, requirements are captured and prioritized effectively, and delivery is executed with excellence following Agile principles.

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Define, maintain, and communicate the product roadmap in alignment with program objectives, customer milestones, and technical feasibility.
• Lead requirements gathering and backlog management, ensuring clear prioritization and traceability from business needs to delivered features.
• Act as the voice of the customer and stakeholders, translating business goals into actionable user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Collaborate closely with development teams, architects, and testers to ensure high-quality delivery that meets agreed timelines.
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies (e.g., sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives) and ensure that the team remains focused, engaged, and aligned with the product vision.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate risks that could impact delivery, while ensuring dependencies across teams are managed effectively.
• Monitor progress and report on key product KPIs to stakeholders and leadership, ensuring transparency and accountability.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, leveraging retrospectives and lessons learned to improve team performance and product outcomes.

What We’re Looking For

• A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related technical field;
• 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner (or similar role), ideally(but not limited) in aerospace, defense, or other mission-critical sectors.
• Demonstrated achievements in product roadmap definition, requirements gathering, and stakeholder alignment.
• Proven track record of leading Agile teams, ensuring structured delivery in line with business priorities.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills, with a clear orientation towards execution and delivery.
• Excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken), with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• A proactive mindset with a strong sense of ownership, collaboration, and attention to detail.

Nice to Have

• Experience working in European space programs such as Galileo, Copernicus, or similar.
• Familiarity with ECSS standards, space program lifecycles, and system engineering processes.
• Certifications such as Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM), or PMP.
• Previous collaboration with ESA, EUSPA, or major space industry integrators.

For this role all the work needs to be performed on-site at our CGI office with no hybrid working opportunities.

Please note that holding an EU passport is mandatory for obtaining an EU Personal Security Clearance, which is part of our selection process.
