Position Overview

The Application Specialist manages and optimizes Polarion ALM tools, providing user support, maintenance, troubleshooting, and collaborating with teams to ensure effective tool usage throughout the software development lifecycle.

It is important to note that Polarion tool is replacing DOORS and HPQC. The responsibilities will shift to Polarion.

Key Responsibilities

• Support & Troubleshooting: Provide first/second-level support for Polarion; quickly resolve or escalate issues and document actions.
• User Onboarding & Training: Set up accounts, deliver training, and develop resources to support users and reduce tickets.
• Customization & Improvement: Adapt workflows, dashboards, and templates; gather enhancement requirements; help automate processes and integrate with other systems.
• Reporting: Build and maintain reports/dashboards, analyze usage, and prepare documentation for audits.

• Bachelor’s or Master degree in Computer Science/related field or equivalent experience
• 3+ years supporting Polarion in enterprise settings MUST
• Proficiency in workflow customization, and troubleshooting
• Knowledge of requirements management, test management, QA, ALM practices, scripting (PowerShell/Python/VBScript) & relational databases
• Strong communication, organizational, multitasking, and teamwork skills
• Knowledge of DOORS and/or HPQC, REST APIs and integrations is a pre
• Experience with Atlassian Tool suite (JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket, Bamboo) (Pre)
• Familiarity with regulated industries, ITIL frameworks, and Agile SAFe methodologies (pre)

Period of deployment : start between 8-9 and 1-10 

Type of contract         : Temp OR Temp to perm (1 year temp, then perm)

Weekly deployment    : 32-40 hours a week   

Work location              : Veghel                      

Remote working         : It is possible to work from home for max. 2 days a week.

Maximum rate            : € 78,00 - € 97,00 competitive  (medior - senior)

Working distance        : living within a radius of 60 minutes from (requirement of the customer!)
