Join us as a Software (SW) Engineer and become a vital contributor to the Galileo program, Europe's prestigious global satellite system. Working on a mission-critical system within the Galileo infrastructure, you'll strengthen security and data protection in the realm of satellite navigation. Your role
As a regular/senior SW Engineer, you will be responsible for the development of the full stack application that will enable the analysis of the data traffic in the Galileo infrastructure. You will work on specification, development, testing and deployment of the final product on the Galileo platform.

Here's how you'll make an impact:

Education
• Bachelor’s degree (HBO/WO) in a relevant field such as Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

Experience
• Programming Languages & Frameworks
o Strong expertise in Java and Python, with a solid grasp of asynchronous programming principles.
o Proficient in TypeScript and modern front-end development using Vue.js.
o Practical experience with Quarkus as the core backend framework.
o Familiarity with IntelliJ IDEA as the primary development environment.
• Testing & Quality Assurance
o Proven experience in writing and maintaining automated tests using JUnit, Mockito, and Robot Framework.
o Exposure to browser automation tools such as Selenium for end-to-end testing.
• CI/CD & DevOps
o Hands-on experience with Docker, Git, GitLab CI/CD pipelines, and SonarQube for continuous integration and code quality analysis.
o Familiarity with Ansible for automation and configuration management.

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple teams and stakeholders.
• You possess a fervent passion for software development within highly complex (space) systems. You're not content with the status quo; you're driven to explore, investigate, and innovate.

Security Requirements
• Holding an EU passport is mandatory for obtaining an EU Personal Security Clearance at CONFIDENTIAL level or above for this position, this clearance will be a part of the selection procedure.
• Due to security requirements, work needs to be performed at our Rotterdam office.

Things that are nice to have (optional)
• Understanding of Atomic Design principles for UI development.
• Experience working within SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) environments.
• Awareness or experience with Galileo standards in the context of software development
