Principal/Managing AI & Data Consultant - Financial Services

Position Description
We are FS AI & Data Consulting in Financial Services, an ambitious team within a global consulting firm. Driven by curiosity, collaboration, and creativity, we specialize in delivering innovative data solutions, AI applications, and front-end systems to some of the most prominent organizations in the financial services industry.

Your role in our team
As a Principal/Managing Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in developing and delivering transformative AI and data solutions for our financial services clients. Combining technical expertise, strategic insight, and client engagement, you’ll drive impactful outcomes, foster strong client relationships, and contribute to the growth of our dynamic team.
In addition to leading client engagements, you will act as a key driver of business development, identifying opportunities, building relationships, and developing strategies to expand our client portfolio. You will also mentor and coach less senior colleagues, fostering their development and cultivating a collaborative, growth-oriented team culture

Key Responsibilities
• Define and lead AI and data propositions to address complex business challenges.
• Design and deliver end-to-end solutions, from data pipelines to advanced AI models and user-facing applications.
• Collaborate with clients to identify needs, co-create solutions, and ensure alignment with industry regulations.
• Drive business development efforts, including identifying new opportunities, preparing proposals, and engaging with prospective clients to expand our presence in the financial services sector.
• Build and nurture long-term client relationships, positioning our team as trusted advisors.
• Guide and coach colleagues, fostering their growth through mentorship, constructive feedback, and skills development.
• Promote knowledge sharing and create an inclusive environment where team members feel supported and valued.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams of consultants, data scientists and engineers to deliver high-quality results.
• Contribute to thought leadership, market insights, and the strategic direction of FS AI & Data Consulting.

How you strengthen our team
We are seeking for someone who excels at the intersection of technical expertise, business acumen, and people management.
Technical Expertise:
• Proficiency in programming (e.g., Python, R, or similar) and data processing.
• Experience designing and maintaining data pipelines and managing large datasets.
• Familiarity with machine learning models, AI solutions, and their real-world applications.
• Knowledge of front-end technologies to create seamless user experiences for AI and data systems.
• Understanding of data security, privacy and regulatory compliance, especially in financial services.

Business Acumen and Development:
• Strong understanding of financial services industry challenges, processes, and regulations.(Or readiness to develop in this field)
• Proven ability to identify business opportunities, develop compelling proposals and close deals.
• Experience building and maintaining strong client relationships.
• A proactive approach to expanding the team’s market presence and reputation.
Leadership and People Skills:
• Demonstrated success in consulting or advisory roles with a focus on AI and data solutions.
• Ability to engage clients, build relationships, and co-create impactful solutions.
• A passion for coaching and mentoring colleagues, fostering a culture of learning and collaboration.
• Leadership in guiding multidisciplinary teams to achieve project goals.
