Jouw rol in ons team
Als Medior Unix Specialist werk je aan het beheer en de optimalisatie van onze Unix/Linux-omgevingen. Je bent verantwoordelijk voor het dagelijks technisch beheer en draagt bij aan de stabiliteit, veiligheid en prestaties van de infrastructuur. Je werkt samen met collega’s in projectteams en operationele taken, en bouwt mee aan verdere automatisering van ons IT-landschap.
Taken en verantwoordelijkheden:
• Beheer en onderhoud: Dagelijks beheer van Unix/Linux-systemen (voornamelijk Red Hat en Oracle Linux), met inzet van tools zoals Ansible.
• Monitoring en probleemoplossing: Monitoren van systemen met Zabbix en het oplossen van technische issues.
• Automatisering: Meewerken aan het ontwikkelen en verbeteren van geautomatiseerde beheerprocessen met Ansible.
• Ondersteuning: Technische ondersteuning bieden bij incidenten en changes binnen de Unix/Linux-omgeving.
• Documentatie: Bijhouden van procedures, installatiehandleidingen en andere technische documentatie.
• Projectwerk: Ondersteunen bij IT-projecten zoals systeemupgrades en nieuwe implementaties.
• Samenwerking: Overleggen met collega’s uit andere IT-teams voor een soepele werking van de IT-diensten.

Hoe jij ons team versterkt
- Minimaal 2 à 3 jaar ervaring in een vergelijkbare Unix/Linux-beheerfunctie.
- Goede beheersing van het Engels, mondeling en schriftelijk.
• Technische kennis:
- Ervaring met Ansible voor automatisering.
- Kennis van Red Hat en/of Oracle Linux.
- Ervaring met monitoringtools zoals Zabbix.
• Pre’s:
- Kennis van GLPI, Spacewalk/Uyuni.
- Beheersing van het Nederlands is een plus.
• Opleiding & certificering:
- MBO-niveau of hoger, bij voorkeur in een IT-richting.
- Certificeringen zoals RHCSA/RHCE zijn een pré.
• Persoonlijke vaardigheden:
- Analytisch sterk, oplossingsgericht en in staat om zelfstandig én in teamverband te werken.

Medior Unix Specialist - Managed Services

Position Description
Are you an experienced Unix/Linux professional ready to take the next step in your career? Join our team as a Medior Unix Specialist and help drive the stability, security, and innovation of our IT infrastructure!

Your role in our team
You will be responsible for daily technical operations and contribute to the stability, security, and performance of our infrastructure. You’ll collaborate with colleagues in both project and operational settings, and help further automate our IT landscape.
Key Responsibilities:
• System Administration and Maintenance: Daily management of Unix/Linux systems (mainly Red Hat and Oracle Linux), using tools such as Ansible.
• Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Monitoring systems with Zabbix and resolving technical issues.
• Automation: Assisting in the development and improvement of automated management processes using Ansible.
• Support: Providing technical support for incidents and changes within the Unix/Linux environment.
• Documentation: Maintaining procedures, installation guides, and other technical documentation.
• Project Work: Supporting IT projects such as system upgrades and new implementations.
• Collaboration: Coordinating with colleagues from other IT teams to ensure smooth IT service delivery.

How you strengthen our team
- At least 2 to 3 years of experience in a similar Unix/Linux administration role.
- Proficiency in English, both spoken and written.
• Technical Skills:
- Experience with Ansible for automation.
- Knowledge of Red Hat and/or Oracle Linux.
- Experience with monitoring tools like Zabbix.
• Preferred:
- Knowledge of GLPI, Spacewalk/Uyuni.
- Proficiency in Dutch is a plus.
• Education & Certification:
- MBO level or higher, preferably in an IT field.
- Certifications such as RHCSA/RHCE are a plus.
• Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work both independently and in a team.
