This company was founded by two young entrepreneurs who recognized the flaws in our archaic educational system. They quickly identified the biggest need in education these days. Not access to information, but the selection and collection of articles, books, videos and everything else. This company allows companies and individuals to create collections of information to form courses on specific subjects. After a few years their company was acquired by a similar company from Silicon Valley. In total they now work in a team of over 250 people. This new collective is completely aimed at jailbreaking diplomas for the employees of the most premier companies across the globe. Serving the likes of NASA, Boeing, Atlassian, Master Card, Unilever, DELL, Github and many more. The most important thing at this company is clever team-work, a keen eye for each other’s needs to deliver the best service possible.

After joining forces with the San Francisco-based scale-up their services were integrated and everyone now works on a sophisticated learning-platform, offered as a service. At this time there are more than 3 million people actively using their service in over 150 enterprises across the world. The platform allows experts to quickly build high-quality bundles of knowledge in the form of learning-paths and courses. All this is backed by strong Learning-Analytics features to enable individual progress as well as the progress of teams and departments. The platform is built with a SOA architecture within the .NET framework using ASP.NET and Angular 7 for the front-end and MS SQL-Server for Databases. At this moment they’re moving their production environment to Azure DevOps. The product is offered to both individuals as well as enterprises that want to enable their employees to increase their skills effectively. Also the service is ideal to transfer expertise and knowledge throughout your organization.

The 60 Developers in the company are divided in Scrum teams led by 5 separate Directors with the VP of Engineering at the helm. The team in Leiden currently consists of 5 designers and 3 developers. Because the company is growing rapidly on a global scale, they use all the opportunities to hire talent, among which is their base in Leiden of course. This is why they are looking for a strong Front-end Developer to join their base in Leiden. The company has a culture, very much focused on individual autonomy and ownership. By hiring strong team players with very sharp communication skills they enabled the company to offer high levels of flexibility concerning working-hours and remote working. In the end, it’s about what you add to the company and product. If you’re someone that thrives in these conditions, you are a great fit for this company. You will join one of the engineering teams working on a specific area of the platform. On Tuesday and Thursday everyone will work from the Leiden office and for the remainder of the week, it’s up to you. You will get a mentor in the company for your first couple of months to get you integrated in the company and help you on setting yourself up for success.

Profile of the Senior Front-end Developer:
• A Bachelors or Master’s Degree in a technical field
• More than 3 years of professional experience as a Front-end Developer
• Proven experience with HTML, CSS, Javascript, Typescript, Angular 2+
• Experience and knowledge of ASP.NET, REST API’s and/or TDD is a plus
• You have an entrepreneurial mindset and do what needs to be done
• Having affinity for knowledge-sharing or a frustration towards the old ways of education is a plus
• You have an acute sense for user-centric development
• You are in possession of a European Passport or Work Visa (No IND sponsorship available)

• Up to €5.500,00 gross salary based on skills, expertise and fulltime (40 hours per week)
