Functieomschrijving EMEA Applications Manager for

Support the success or our global SAP system

We currently seek an EMEA Applications Manager SAP APO-Demand Planning to oversee the status of implemented functionalities within the total setting of the EMEA Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process and to guide further deployments. This will involve driving common business support processes and facilitating the exchange of knowledge between the Information Management employees in the clusters.

The location of this position is flexible, but you must be willing to travel. You will report to the EMEA Information Manager Supply Chain based in Sassenheim, The Netherlands.

Varied responsibilities and actions
Within the context, you will perform a wide variety of key functions. These include providing first line support and problem solving to the IBP planning functions, ensuring effective communications, and managing SAP APO-DP implementation projects. You will also manage incidents in conjunction with SAP Competence Center support staff, providing first line support and communicating to users about incidents. Also fundamental is executing change management of the local use of SAP and the Kernel Change Request process that controls changes to SAP.

This will involve providing input to the Change Management process for relevant change requests. Providing knowledge management and training to new and existing users is part of the role, and you will identify needs in this area. Alongside this, you will advise on the possibilities and usage of new trends in SAP APO-DP in relationship with business process improvement. You will also perform application development, testing and maintenance, creating functional designs in collaboration with central application managers and assisting users in testing and accepting new functionality.

To apply for this position you should be educated to bachelor degree level or higher in Information Management, Economics or Business Administration, or possess the equivalent professional qualifications. You will also have at least five years of experience in an applications management role, during which time you will have successfully led significant projects. With this will come an understanding of global applications functionalities and a customer-oriented ability to work in an international environment that involves travel and foreign languages. As such, you must be able to work under pressure as you balance conflicting priorities while effectively communicating complex technical solutions. Within this context, you must be able to manage yourself, while communicating with your manager as and when necessary.
