Vacature Functional Information Manager
bij AkzoNobel in Sassenheim
A vital role between our global applications and our European operations
AkzoNobel is the largest global paints and coatings company and a major producer of specialty chemicals. We supply industries and consumers worldwide with innovative products and we are passionate about developing sustainable answers for our customers.
We currently seek a Functional Information Manager to act as a business partner to the marketing and sales functions of Decorative Paints. The core purpose of the role is to increase the commonality of global (SAP-based) applications across the business functions implemented in EMEA. Knowledge exchange and leveraging of the overall quality of the local application managers is also fundamental to the role.
The location of this position is flexible, but you must be willing to travel on a regular basis.
You and your team will operate in the space between Global Applications and the local support structure, responsible for early coordination between the marketing and sales function and the current/future functionalities of global information systems.
Within this context, you will collect requirements for global/EMEA IM services from the marketing and sales functions and plan roadmaps for delivery,
This is a two-way process and by focusing on harmonization, knowledge exchange and areas such as business intelligence and advanced planning, EMEA as a whole will benefit from the experiences of individual countries.
You will also lead or co-lead larger, international, business projects with a substantial IM component, supporting operational effectiveness and insight by using globally deployed applications, mainly based on SAP.
In order to achieve this, you will need to gain a deep understanding of the functional agenda and the contribution of IM to the development of that agenda. This will involve tight collaboration with our global SAP Competence Centre (KCC) in Sassenheim, the Netherlands, and close alignment with Global Process Owners.
To apply for this position you should be educated to a master degree level in Information Management, Economics or Business Administration, or possess the equivalent professional qualifications. You should also have at least five years of experience in an information management role or in a marketing or customer service role with clear affinity to IM, with proven capabilities in leading large (change) projects.
With this will come the ability to understand the complexity of the AkzoNobel IT landscape and IM management culture, particularly in relation to the strategic direction of the business function and the role of IM aligning to that function.
You will be customer oriented, engaged with the business imperatives, and accustomed to working in an international environment. It is essential that you can work under pressure while balancing conflicting priorities and communicating effectively in reports and presentations.
