Job description
The Project Manager Manufacturing Software is responsible for managing the development of new Vistaprint capabilities that have a software development component. The successful candidate will lead cross-functional teams from conceptualization through implementation, including phases such as requirements definition, technical design, build, test, deploy and capture value. The ideal candidate will be responsible for working closely with Vistaprint's manufacturing organization to drive requirements and results for multiple new manufacturing capabilities projects.

The Manager will act as the capabilities liaison to the plant, providing training and ensuring adoption of applications and processes. Our manufacturing software includes dynamic, database-driven web applications. In our state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities, we create optimization algorithms and software to increase throughput, reduce costs, maintain high quality via image processing and color management and automate all workflow from prepress to shipping. All this occurs in a friendly environment filled with top-quality technologists.

The challenge:
• Manage key internal client relationships with project stakeholders;
• Drive project requirements, priorities, deadlines, and software adoption, not just record and manage them;
• Lead highly skilled, cross-functional teams (software developers, QA, IT Operations, business stakeholders) across one or more projects;
• Develop and manage budget for assigned project(s), monitor project progress and adjust resources and priorities accordingly;
• Prepare and present progress reports for management;
• Interact with decision-makers by managing expectations and providing master project planning to ensure all agreed upon deliverables are met cost-effectively and according to project timeline commitments;
• Solve problems, prioritize deliverables and manage project scope;
• Build and deliver end user training;
• Provide operational support to prioritize issues and acts as the local presence of a global delivery organization.

Who are you?
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering or similar preferred;
• 5 or more years' experience leading cross-functional projects;
• Project management experience for a large consulting firm strongly preferred;
• Must have experience in developing/modifying applications with a team of remote development resources;
• Proven ability to run cross-functional software development projects and to deliver business results through full project cycle; preferably in a fast changing environment;
• Previous experience as a software developer or application architect strongly preferred;
• Must understand 80/20 prioritization;
• Must have the ability to quickly analyze and solve problems;
• Must be a team player, highly motivated and detail-oriented;
• Able to work in an environment at a fast pace and with changing priorities;
• Must have strong verbal and written communication skills;
• Should have experience in developing and executing application training materials and curricula;
• Should have experience in ensuring end user adoption of applications;
• Must be eligible for travel to the US, CA and AU;
• Must be Fluent in English and Dutch.
