Sector Information
The sector Customer Support is responsible for the delivery, installation and maintenance of ASML systems at customer locations, as well as transferring all relevant knowledge and supporting the customer in the use of these systems in his production process. Customer Support Operational Services (CSOS) ensures that effective support of the customer by local personnel is possible by providing new and/or improved means and methods. The CSOS department manages a.o. the CS Software Applications from requirements validation and prioritization, application development to the introduction of the new products into the ASML worldwide service organization and maintenance and support of the applications.

Job Mission
Your Job Mission is to Enable the Worldwide service organization to deliver excellent, cost effective service by driving the realization and maintenance of business critical software applications. You manage and act as interface between Business (CS) and IT for a number of software applications critical to the business operation. You support the users of these applications, the business requirements and the development and maintanance of these application.

Job Description
As Application Specialist you are responsible for maintaining existing and supporting development of new and/or improved software applications. These applications support the business processes of the global service organization. You will drive improvements of existing applications, handle the Customer Support side of escalations and support projects that develop new applications.
• Define, drive realization and test the upgrades and changes of the applications that you are responsible for.
• Support projects in the development of new and/or improved service products and ensure their maintainability
• Support the introduction of the new applications into the Customer Service Field Organization.
• Ensure the Key User organization is in place with proper communication and escalation channels
• Actively support the Key Users in day to day problems and questions.

Educational Level
Bachelor degree Information Technology, Mathematics or Business Administration or other technical background with relevant experience

Experience
Minimum 4 years experience in maintenance or development of information systems preferably in (a high tech) equipment industry. Preferably experience in the area of service execution/engineering.

Personal Skills
• Good social and communication skills (preferably multi cultural and towards different hierarchical levels)
• Excellent written and spoken English language skills.
• Able to drive, steer and convince others
• Able to write clear requirement specifications and application documentation
• Good knowledge of software application preferably database applications (e.g. MySQL, Oracle, Postgress)
• Able to work independently and in a team, showing initiative with a broad view
• Strong analytical skills
• Ability to quickly master the business context of automation tools.
