Benefitting from over 10 years of experience and built around retail best practices, our My-Scan Omni-Channel platform is implemented in different supermarkets and hypermarkets in over 30 countries all over the world. Re-Vision’s short-term roadmap will be mainly focused on expanding the product portfolio with Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning to detect fraud and upsell to the customers in store.
Are you an ambitious IT professional, technically savvy and want to be a part of an international company? To strengthen our Professional Services Team we are looking for a (Junior) Application Support Engineer.

What will you be doing?
As Application Support Engineer you are responsible for the availability, scalability, performance, security and delivery of our in-house developed solutions. In this role you should always be in the lookout to make sure our solutions are available and have as close to zero downtime.

You will analyse, reproduce and resolve issues and service requests related to the self-scanning and loyalty systems remotely from our office. Issues and requests regarding the systems or used hardware will be solved together with strategic partners or the IT-department of the customer. You strive for a good SLA in terms of performance numbers and customer experience.

As Application Support Engineer, you will carefully prepare, test and document new installations and updates of our mobile self-scanning solutions and loyalty systems. You will strengthen our consultancy team with your technical knowledge when needed. Suggestions to improve our delivery proces and prevent issues are highly encouraged.

You will be part of the Professional Services Team that consists of 3 IT Operation Engineers, 5 Implementation Consultants and a Project Manager. The team strives for agilty and is working closely together with the Development team.

Responsibilities
  • Providing 2nd and 3rd line support and Pro-actively monitoring (cloud) environment;
  • Integrate and implement the Re-Vision software suite and components in-and outside office hours;
  • Customer engagement along all stages of the customer lifecycle;
  • The ASE will be part of one or more customer teams;
  • Create and maintain high CSAT scores (Customer Satisfaction);
  • Triage and manage customer escalations;
  • Assist our customers with their product questions and technical issues;
  • Act as a first point of contact for inbound software queries and issues;
  • Document and maintain customer specifics;
  • Able to escalate unresolved issues to the responsible internal team;
  • Meet Support SLA’s and participating in an on-call shift;
  • Contribute to product roadmap by being the customer advocate, proposing improvement ideas and supporting with testing.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equilivant reasoning level;
  • Experience working with SQL Server, Oracle Databases (Querying, manipulating data, troubleshooting, installation)
  • Virtualization, Knowledge to deploy and run application software on virtual machines
  • Knowledge of windows server platforms and TCP/IP network protocols
  • Experience in Monitoring and observability; open-source projects like Elastic, Grafana
  • Proper knowledge of XML, JSON, REST
  • Automating Operating System tasks by using PowerShell, Python, or similar scripting language
  • Ability to solve complexe problems and demonstrate your solutions clearly;
  • You are enthusiastic, proactive and eager to learn;
  • Excellent English language skills (written and verbal).
