Software Engineer Java Utrecht • IT-idiots

• BSc/MSc in Computer Science or other relevant studies at an academic working level;
• 5+ years working experience in mission critical and high-available banking IT;
• Working experience as a JAVA developer using JEE standards;
• Experience with or willingness to learn new (DevOps) tools such as Ansible, Python, Yaml Terraform, Bicep ;
• Working experience building high performance applications (threading and multi-processing);
• You are a T-shaped professional and combine one or more technical specializations with the capability of taking over basic activities of other specialists on the team (analysis, testing and continuity);
• You are very experienced in writing high quality unit and integration tests;
• Experience of Design Patterns;
• Willingness to follow bank- and team guidelines and standards regarding development and secure coding;
• You have professional/excellent communication skills and command of English;
• You embrace cross-skilling: you understand why teaming up on a feature is important and stimulate your squad to put this into practice;
• Willingness to follow bank and squad guidelines and standards regarding design, development, security;
• You understand and practice Agile principles (Scrum or similar);
• Continuous improvement is the basic mind-set of the Software Engineer, which is strongly focused on automating work in and around the squad;

In principle, this concerns a secondment assignment, but it is also possible to enter into permanent employment with our client. We are very flexible in that regard.
