Network Automation Engineer - Infrastructure Services

Position Description
We are looking for a talented and experienced Network Automation Engineer to join our dynamic team. Your future duties and responsibilities
As a Network Automation Engineer at CGI GTO, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining network automation solutions that help streamline our operations, improve our efficiency, and reduce costs. You will work closely with our network engineering team to identify opportunities for automation, and develop tools and processes that help us achieve our goals.
You will become a member of our dynamic engineering team, you will play a vital role in managing the highly available network and security infrastructures of our diverse customer base. Our team operates across two locations, the Netherlands and the Czech Republic. You will work collaboratively with your colleagues to develop innovative and customer-specific solutions. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to contribute to a range of exciting automation projects that help us improve our service, operations and efficiency.
As part of your role, you will be tasked with standardizing and automating routine activities to increase operational efficiency and streamline workflows.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Understanding of networking protocols and concepts, including TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, VLAN, and routing/switching technologies.
- Experience in network automation and orchestration using tools such as Ansible
- Knowledge of programming languages, including Python, YAML or Bash.
- Familiarity with DevOps and Agile methodologies, including continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD). And good knowledge of version control with Git and the interactions with code repositories from Github/ Gitlab.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
