Functieomschrijving As an IT Manager you have a strong background within oil & gas or the petrochemical industry. You will directly report to the CIO and will be a member of the global IT Leadership team. You are responsible for the IT team in the Netherlands (infrastructure, applications, project management and servicedesk) which contains 20 FTE.
In this role you are responsible for ensuring the adequate provision of IT services (infrastructure, applications, projects and advisory), ensuring alignment between regional / local business needs and the Group IT service offer. This position will continuously engage with business leaders in the region to ensure understanding and, if possible anticipate, their business requirements and identify solution alternatives.

As an IT Manager Iyou are a member of the IT Leadership Team (ITLT) representing both its Region and Business Line and is expected to establish strong working ties with its members in order to plan and execute the delivery of services and projects. The ITLT includes the managers for Group Infrastructure and Operations, Business Solutions, IT Planning as the Manager for CH/DE IT Services and Refining Solutions. This position acts on one side as an integrator of the services provided by the central IT teams for Benelux and on the other side as the owner and leader of the Terminals solutions services for all regions.
The ideal candidate will bring a strong mix of Stakeholder Management skills, strategic and business thinking as well as IT operational knowledge

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

SAFETY & SECURITY
  • Contribute to the provision of a safe and healthy workplace by ensuring all technical/operational plans, procedures and process changes incorporate the requirements of the organisation's safety and environmental policies and practices.
  • Support site safety initiatives.
  • Promote and observe the adherence to the procedures and policies in place to safeguard the organisation's IT Assets such as Systems, Information, Hardware, etc.
BUSINESS ADVISORY & SERVICE ALIGNMENT
  • In conjunction with each site management team identify, analyse and prioritise Business Requirements.
  • Develop IT plans that support site business objectives and Group IT strategic direction
  • Continuous search for new value propositions that will improve the business
  • Select appropriate software and hardware to meet requirements, in accordance with IT Global Standards and Policies
  • Guide understanding of local business regarding Global initiatives and policies and their implications, negotiate compliance and support
  • Contribute to Group IT by representing the Region's interests in the IT Leadership Team
OPERATIVE CONTINUITY
  • Coordinate the delivery of information technology services (local, regional and global) to site
  • Ensure consistency and standardisation between sites in the Region to maximise use of business systems, information sharing and the underlying technologies.
  • Ensure effective performance of all systems and infrastructure in the region according to agreed service levels
  • Manage and monitor user satisfaction
  • Ensure backup and disaster recovery procedures are current, maintained and adhered to.
NEW REQUIREMENTS & PROJECT DELIVERY
  • Assess needs and identify new requirements and facilitate the involvement of required local and global teams to define, execute and stabilise projects and changes
  • Ensure local projects adhere with the organisation's IT Policies, Standards and Principles
  • Coordinate the implementation and completion of site and Group projects in line with operating site business objectives and Group IT strategic direction.
  • Manage the IT project portfolio within its scope.
  • Progressively initiate projects to align local infrastructure and systems to Global IT Landscape targets
CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT
  • Advise and provide recommendations for continuous improvement opportunities in work processes and contribute to the implementation of endorsed improvement initiatives.
  • Consistent Performance monitoring to identify improvement opportunities
  • Provide user education to maximise value of the use of IT infrastructure and tools
MANAGEMENT
  • Manage regional and site IT budgets, optimize spend and report variances to budget.
  • Provide effective service and project status reporting to Local and Group IT management
  • Manage performance and career development of staff to ensure the continued development of necessary skills and competencies
  • Coordinate the provision of internal & external resources to provide the required IT support and services.
  • Manage IT Vendors and control all IT related purchases
  • Coordinate Audits and ensure software-licensing records and other compliance requirements are maintained and current

Functie-eisen As an IT Manager you meet the following requirements:
  • University or Associate degree qualification or equivalent experience
  • Native or Fluent in Dutch, Fluent in English, French or German is desirable
  • 4 to 6 years in an IT management role with direct reports and budget management responsibility
  • Experience managing IT services in multiple sites and remote locations
  • Working knowledge of Oil / Gas or Renewable Energies Industry
  • Working knowledge of Industrial IT/OT (e.g. SCADA, PLC, etc)
  • Working knowledge of ITIL concepts
  • Project Portfolio Management Experience
  • Willingness to travel in the region or global if required

Bedrijfsomschrijving As an IT Manager you will work for an organisation that is active in the Oil & Gas industry. Their core competencies are refining, storage and distribution of oil products to both wholesale and retail in Europe. The company exists of approximately 1300 people in total. They are in constant growth and expanding their business along other strategic locations in Europe. The Dutch IT team consist of approx. 20 FTE.
