• Report and handle Incidents and Service Requests of the ICT infrastructure and/or business applications according to the Incident Management procedures;
• Make sure the agreed Service Level Agreement (SLA) are met and keep the customers informed about the handling process;
• Monitoring of the supplied IT services and applications;
• Maintain all areas of the centrally managed technical ICT infrastructure and/or business applications and act on all reported topics;
• Maintain the server farms(1000+ servers) with the latest patches and assure the compliance levels;
• Escalate issues to the specialized Global Infrastructure teams or suppliers when needed and control the progress;
• Develop and update technical guidance & knowledge base documentation.

Functie-eisen

• A minimum of 3 years of experience supporting a large enterprise Windows platforms, VMware vSphere, Storage/Backup technologies, network skills in TCP/IP and Cisco switching;
• Good knowledge on IT service delivery (ITIL);
• Microsoft Certified System Administrator in Windows 2016/2019/2022 is a pre;
• In-depth knowledge of products like like VMware, Windows Server, DFS, Storage Replica, SCOM, PowerShell, vRealize Operations Manager;
• Knowledge of cloud products like Azure;
• Fluency in speaking and documenting in English;
• Team player, strong communication and social skills.

This Enterprise organization has multiple locations and on short notice will open even more sites. The department you will work in, is responsible for the delivery of many Group IT Infrastructure, Network, Systems and Security services. Most of the services are based on Microsoft solutions and delivered to the organization from the cloud or from the central datacenters.

As VMware Specialist you will be responsible for the incident and service request handling and monitoring of the enterprise IT infrastructure, this also includes regular infrastructure operational work within Windows Platforms, VMware, Storage, Backup, but also on the area of server compliancy. Meaning you will maintain all areas of the centrally managed technical ICT infrastructure and business applications in which you act on all reported topics. Besides you will maintain the server farms(1000+ servers) with the latest patches and assure the compliance levels are met. At last you have the opportunity to participate in projects within the Global Infrastructure organization.
