De vacature
Product Development has the need for agile coaches to help adopt the business unit structure. As an agile coach you use agile principles and methodologies to increase the effectiveness of a unit to become high performing. This is an interesting and challenging position where you work with people, have a big influence on effectiveness, efficiency and well-being, and lots of growth opportunities.

The Agile Guild has the vision to work towards full-time agile coaches. As an agile coach, you are not necessarily bound to one department. Product Development needs help from agile coaches for at least the upcoming year. Where you are needed after that depends on how the role develops, product cells mature, and the need for agilists elsewhere in the company

Why this vacancy?
Product Development is adopting the Business Unit structure in the form of Product Cells. A Product Cell consists of several multi-disciplinary teams collaborating on a specific domain in the product. It is managed by the cell leadership: domain expert and team coordinator. By increasing agility, the agile coach increases the effectiveness of a cell towards becoming a high performing unit. This way, the Agile Coach helps the cell leadership to organize the cell, it’s people and processes so the cell effectively meets its business goals while being a rewarding and motivating place to work.

The quick implementation of product cells within Product Development is crucial to our company's success and we are looking for multiple agile coaches who want to contribute to this challenge. What will you do? Using agile methods and principles, you help a cell’s Domain Expert to define clear outcomes that are aligned with business goals, and you help the Team Coordinator to organize people and processes such that the cell meets these outcomes and the cell members are happy.

This includes the following concrete tasks:
  • Facilitate sessions where Domain Expert and cell members collaboratively define a vision for the cell domain and translate that vision into a long-term road map and clearly scoped projects,
  • Help the cell to establish agile practices and work as a high performing unit
  • Help the cell to take ownership of its domain
  • Let the cell adopt a strong feedback loop and mindset for critical reflection and continuous improvements

  • Ability to bring structure to ways of working and conversations
