Thus you design, document and implement ’fit for purpose’ and best practice solutions in adherence with the solutions design. In doing so you apply a structured approach and ensure that solutions are compatible with the existing architecture to assure compliance with strategy, policy, guidelines, budget, and operational supportability.

This requires you to design integration components and interfaces and to produce integration test specifications and input to training plans. You also perform impact assessments on business demand and high level requirements to uncover and mitigate gaps.

As necessary you review the services maturity for a specific End User Services area and propose initiatives to improve the service. In a wider sense you work with other Solution Architects to develop detailed project charters for our Investment Portfolio, producing roadmaps and aligning on strategy and direction. In doing so you interact with Enterprise Architecture, Business Information Managers and others, maintaining these relationships to improve the quality and relevance of projects. You also support IM projects and develop Proof of Concepts and Pilots.

At all times you proactively seek continuous business and service improvements, along with opportunities to build cross-functional working relationships including external parties. You also identify innovations within the architecture domains and facilitate management support.

In addition you coordinate the identification and assessment of new and emerging technologies, products, methods and techniques in conjunction with the Enterprise Architecture team. You also influence others with regard to the importance of Solution Architecture in the business

As such, this position demands an ability to remain neutral toward technology, vendor and product choices, more interested in results than personal preference.
