Web Programmer (Python, Django, PHP)

Job Description
You will be working on large traffic websites, with millions of visitors per day and a big array of products. You'll develop the backend for features such as website analytics, reporting solutions, fraud monitoring, SEO improvements, affiliate programs, traffic tracking, search engines, live video streaming. Coding is mostly done in Python with Django, with our legacy systems in PHP with Doctrine on MVC frameworks, backed up by Solr, memcached, Postgresql, MySql, Wowza, Apache, Debian. You will be part of a young Amsterdam located team, and work closely with the development team in a relaxed performance-driven environment.

Skills & Requirements
The ideal candidate is an expert in Python web development with years of experience. He is able and willing to easily learn new languages using his pseudocode algorithmic thinking and he is, above all, results driven.

You must:
• Have extensive proven experience is building Django based web applications;
• Be familiar with Rabbitmq, Celery and apache wsgi setups, south migrations;
• Know PostgreSql beyond the level of creating databases and tables;
• Have experience with PHP-Doctrine-MySql applications;
• Have worked on multi server environments, involving load balancing, replications, caching;
• Have server side experience in basic configuration, basic bash programming;
• Be familiar with version control systems;
• Write clean self-documenting code;
• Be self-managed, proactive and flexible;
• Be OK with getting into frontend development for a "direct" interaction with client-side code.

It's nice to have been contributing to open source projects, have read Code Complete, used Solr.

Note: your development will be done mostly on adult websites.

Salary
40,000 – 60,000 Euros per year depending on experience.
