Senior System Engineer at Capri Solutions
Location: Rotterdam

Join a lively and fully committed IT Operations team. The position will play a key support role in an European context. The Senior System Engineer is a key member of the IT Operations team responsible for administrative support of the IT infrastructure environment and specialist incident resolution. You will also work on assigned and self-motivated projects for implementations, improvements and management of the IT infrastructure environment.

Your duties and responsibilities will include:
• 2ND/3RD line incident management and resolution
• Data Centre activity coordination
• Liaising with third-party vendors for incident tracking and resolution
• Using accepted systems and processes to complete tasks as appropriate

Candidate
As a candidate you have a proven history and broad knowledge within IT and display the willingness and commitment to succeed within your role. You are up-to-date in current and upcoming technologies. You are an enthusiastic, flexible, quick to learn, detailed, punctual and smart personality and show the capabilities to make a significant contribution to the overall goals and objectives. You also have experience in working within a service driven organisation that supports 1000+ users. Exposure to European or global organisations would be beneficial.

Required experience
• 6+ years in Windows 2003/2008 & Active Directory in a corporate environment (MCITP level)
• 4+ years in Exchange 2003, 2007,2010
• 2+ years in Citrix (CCA level) and VMware (VCP level)
• You are familiar with various storage technologies (FC, iSCSI) and products (EMC2, Brocade, Equallogic)
• Good knowledge of TCP/IP networking, switching and routing
• You have worked in a managed project environment and in a context of Data Centre activities
• Good oral and written communication skills in English and at least one other language
• Exposure to ITIL standards and procedures is desirable

Training & education
Having all the certifications is not a must, because we believe experience and demonstrable skill is as important as being certified. We do however encourage our staff to become certified, therefore candidates are willing to invest time and effort to do so. Capri Solutions proactively supports our staff with various education and training programs both in-house and via partners.
