Senior Software Engineer
Location; Venlo, the Netherlands

Job Description
The Senior Software Engineer will work on a new generation of scheduling, manufacturing, and reporting software that dynamically offers our manufacturing facilities the ability to optimize their internal processes and capabilities. You will take ownership of software applications that we rely on to produce over 40,000 customer orders consisting of 120,000 individually customized pieces in 70,000 shipments per day. Development at Vistaprint is fast-paced, with new code releasing for production use every three weeks. You will work on real-world problems with a highly talented team of expert technologists with numerous patents to their names, where the technology problem is often defined by the incredible scale at which the solutions operate.

Responsibilities:
• You will work closely with Vistaprint's manufacturing organization to drive requirements and results for multiple new manufacturing projects
• You will act as the Software development liaison to the Venlo manufacturing plant. This will include training and ensuring adoption of applications and processes
• You will gather requirements, provide customer support, application configuration, and continuous improvement

Requirements include:
• BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent
• 2-5 years industry experience
• Proficiency with object-oriented programming in .Net, C# or VB.Net
• Database programming with SQL required. Microsoft SQL Server is a plus
• Experience operating embedded in a customer organization
• Fluent in English and fluent in German or Dutch.
• Excellent documentation and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytic, requirements gathering, problem solving, and triage skills
• Multitasking ability in a fast-paced, globally distributed environment
• Experience with Windows UI design a plus
• Experience with shipping systems, order fulfillment, or manufacturing a plus
• Former road warrior with interest in continuing on that path preferred
• Must be eligible for travel to the US, CA, AU, and CH
