As part of our systems administration team (6 people), you will provide support for the computer-related needs of our Venlo manufacturing site from both a print-production and an IT infrastructure and system administrative perspective.

For the IT operations department of the manufacturing site at Venlo (Netherlands) we are seeking a:

Systems Administrator

The challenge :
• Support all pre-press technologies, including file conversion, transfer, scheduling, ganging, ripping, etc. with 3rd party and Vistaprint proprietary software and hardware technologies.
• Adhere to all the documented processes, procedures and standard operating directives.
• Install, maintain, upgrade and support all computer technologies in the facility including production manufacturing and desktop environments.
• Install, configure, maintain and debug Zebra and Laser printer technology.
• Administer hardware and software asset management system.
• Identify defective hardware and process “Return Material Authorizations” as required.
• Operate INFRA Service Desk help desk/ticketing system while ensuring that the SLA metrics are met.
• Support 3rd party applications (Microsoft, Adobe, etc.).
• Maintain Active Directory, Exchange and Print server technologies.
• Monitor and execute support for Vistaprint Systems worldwide, including print-related technologies, located in Hamilton, Bermuda.
• Adhere to workload and prioritization as driven by the INFRA Service Desk help desk/ticketing system and local print-production needs.
• Document and maintain all processes, procedures and standard operating directives.
• Provide email and telephonic technical support as required.

Who are you?
• Bachelor's (HBO) degree; BS/BA in a computer field preferred.
• MCSE certificate and A+ preferred, or demonstrable skills in hardware-based trouble shooting and repair.
• 3 years of experience in a related position, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of desktop support for Microsoft operating systems and applications, hardware installation and troubleshooting, TCP/IP and basic network concepts, and printing technologies (Laser, Thermal, Inkjet, etc.) is required.
• Strong understanding of Server and Desktop operating systems and hardware.
• Basic to intermediate understanding of routers, switches, and networking technology.
• Moderate understanding of Disaster Recovery Data Backup technologies, strategies, and solutions.
• Basic understanding of SAN and NAS products.
• Be able to communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to react quickly in an ever-changing environment.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
• Flexible to changing work hours depending on business needs.
• Participation in “on call support” rotation.
• A self motivated team player with the ability to operate autonomously if necessary.
