Position Description
Focus of the Test Engineer Mobile Telecommunication is the specification and execution of functional end-to-end business process tests of complex IT solutions for our customers in the mobile telecommunication business.

This includes all kind of test activities, for instance from test analysis, test design and realization, test preparation (test data, infrastructure) over executing of a test scenario, controlling and documentation of test results (test log, incl. opening a defect / an incident), tracking the resolution and re-test after correction.

As a Test Engineer you may be a Project-SPoC, i.e. the Single Point of Contact in the testing department for the project manager of an assigned project.

Communication
The Test Engineer communicates closely within the team of test engineers and test analysts, to the projects about the (functional) content of the tests and reports to the Test Coordinator or Test Manager respectively.

It is expected that you as a Test Engineer will
• Support the test analyst and test manager in proposing input to the solution test plan to address the product risks:
- Analyze and review of the existing IT landscape, business requirements and processes, and IT solutions, systems and interface designs
- Assess product risks,
- Identify the test conditions required to give necessary levels of coverage,
- Support test estimation

• Act as a Test Engineer by efficiently realizing and executing test cases
- Design and realize test cases, test data based on solution test plans, the functional design and the process description
- Execute test cases
- Analyze and document the results of the test execution
- Detect and localize faults, coordination of fault correction by Suppliers.
- Execute Re-Test
- Sanity-check on production during implementation phase.

• Responsibility for test parts / requests of test teams
• Responsibility in Knowledge Management:
- Knowledge Acquisition,
- Knowledge Documentation and
- Knowledge Transfer to other colleagues or off- or near-shore providers

• Broad knowledge of Quality Management, methods, test tools, test strategies and execution of tests.

Position Requirements
You
• Are graduated with a master degree in technical or natural scientific topics or equivalent education,
• Are a Certified Tester (ISTQB Foundation Level or TMap) and have as well as 3-4 years practical experiences in software development and testing,
• Have knowledge of Mobile Telecom business processes and 3-4 years experience in the telecommunications segment - mobile telecommunications would be preferred,
• Have strong analytical skills to
• Identify risks and pain points in processes and applications and
• Execute root cause analysis,
• Are fluently English in speaking and writing
• (Communication skills in Dutch are welcome),
• Have good communications skills

You should be able to analyse existing IT infrastructure and IT processes of our customers and develop thereon corresponding solutions for tests and quality assurance.

As presales oriented test analyst you should have ability to convince potential customers according to our assessment and testing solutions. Moreover you will support our sales in acquisition phases and in new test projects concerning test strategies.

You are graduated with a master degree with a focus on technical or natural scientific topics or equivalent major. You have a minimum work experience of 3-4 years, particularly in the area of software development. Ideally you are familiar with processes of software development (incl. Test) and putting into operations of complex software systems in your own experience. Your understanding of quality approaches and processes, test methods, test proceedings and test tools is very important for us. You have basic IT knowhow (software languages, databases, operating systems) and know methods of (Test-) project management, ideally business processes of large enterprises (Telecommunications). Customer orientation, presentation skills and willingness to travel are self-evident for you. Entrepreneurial thinking and acting, combined with distinctive communication skills and fluent business English complete your profile.

Personally you convince with competent poise, also in an international context. You have excellent international communication skills as well as an authentic and resilient personality.
