Sector Information
This position is within the Customer Support (CS) sector. It is essential to our customers that the complex systems ASML build, stay operational for as long as possible. This is only possible with excellent support, keeping the systems in the best possible condition and getting the system back online quickly in the event that it breaks down. The training department is the crucial link between the development department and the thousands of colleagues working at customer sites worldwide and engineers in Veldhoven performing this excellent support. The training department develops and delivers technical training through 1000’s of training events yearly worldwide. Most trainees are from the CS and Manufacturing and Logistics (M&L) sectors. About 10% of the trainees are customer engineers. The training department has training facilities in Veldhoven and Taiwan.

Position in the Organization
As a Technical Instructor you are a member of the Training Competency Development team (~10 employees), which is part of the CS Training Department (~50 employees worldwide).

Job Mission
As a Technical Instructor you will be responsible for delivering high quality technical training to engineers from the M&L sector. You will also be responsible for creating training solutions to problems reported via Service Orders (SO’s) from CS engineers in the Field. These SO’s are processed via the CS Global Support Centre, Back End Call Handling (BECH) Process.

Job Description
Within our department you work in one or more projects supporting the learning needs of our (internal) customers. You are a team player, communicate proactively, have a healthy business sense and are on top of new opportunities which add value to our core business. Being in touch with several departments (e.g. Manufacturing & Planning, Global Support Centre and Industrial
Engineering) you translate (internal) customer requirements into training packages.

Educational Level
Higher Technical College or (Technical) University (B.Sc./M.Sc.) in Electrical Technology, Mechatronics, Chemistry, Mechanical Engineering, Physics or Computer SScience.

Experience
• 4-5 years of delivering Technical Training.

Personal Skills
• Proven affinity with or expertise in education and/or didactics.
• Analytic, abstract thinking, good communication skills, initiative, independent, sharing knowledge, stress tolerance and teamwork.
• Excellent presentation skills in English.
• Ability to capture and transfer knowledge in an effective manner is a must.
