(Senior) Regional Business Solutions Analyst
Location; Rotterdam

Responsible for maintaining, developing, improving and implementing new and existing IT solutions in line with internal and external business demand.

The position
The Business Solutions analyst has a background in forwarding & logistics, understands our service portfolio as well as the workflow within our operating systems. You have a good understanding of modern technologies, programming languages, database structures and EDI. You can communicate both on a technical and business level and are the pro-active counterpart for developers as well as business managers.

Specific Responsibilities
• Maintain, optimize and improve existing EDI solutions;
• Scope functional and technical requirements;
• Project management for the development, optimization and implementation of new EDI solutions and business applications;
• Participate in client visits to ‘sell’ our IT capabilities;
• Provide training to all staff on developed solutions;
• Assist in standardizing and documenting the developed solutions;
• Ensure all developed solutions are supported in a professional manner by dedicated support functions both within the respective countries and GSCs.

Your background
• 2-3 years experience in logistics & forwarding business;
• 2-4 years experience in IT development;
• Pragmatic project management execution;
• Understand how data streams drive operational processes both internally and for our customers, and how they add value to the supply chain;
• Deeper understanding of the forwarding and logistics business.

Fluent written and spoken English is a pre-requisite. In addition, fluency in Dutch is preferred.
