Global Datacenter Services Delivery Manager for AkzoNobel

Drive the success of a major global datacenter infrastructure

A complex and influential role
This is a multi-dimensional position with risks and complexities across three core business areas: Performance Coatings, Decorative Paints, and Specialty Chemicals. These areas comprise 17 Business Units, which are managed as separate units with profit/loss accountability. Your role will be to support this global structure via direct involvement in all aspects of GDS. You will influence a budget of €20 million, interact with a wide range of ICT service suppliers, and report to the Global Datacenter Services Manager.

Multiple responsibilities
Your core function will be the preparation, management and maintenance of operational GDS service delivery, along with all relevant stakeholder communication and reporting. This will include incident management, change management, performance management and cost sharing arrangements, as well as a (pro-)active drive of the rationalization, consolidation and migration of current services to GDS services, in close alignment with the BU infrastructure managers.

Within this context you will perform vendor relationship management and manage the performance of GDS service providers, in consultation with the Global Datacenter Services Manager and Global Sourcing. You will also support service deployment in the BU’s and handle escalations from BU infrastructure managers and GDS service providers. In order to achieve this you will be heavily involved in service architecture and design, along with all aspects of budgetary planning, tariff agreements, and compliance with GDS policies and standards. Active communication with all stakeholders and alignment with other shared ICT services is integral to the role.

Sustainability is key to AkzoNobel and you will ensure that environmental sustainability is promoted within GDS so that ICT plays its part in resource conservation.

To apply for this role you should have an academic degree and multi-year (international) management experience incorporating global ICT service (delivery) management, ideally in datacenter services. You will offer a balanced technical and business perspective, along with effective communication skills, particularly with regard to vendor management. Excellent written and spoken English is essential and you must be a pro-active team player, with a relentless focus on accuracy and an ability to facilitate change.
